The Belarc Advisor builds a detailed profile of your installed software and hardware, including Microsoft Hotfixes, and displays the results in your Web browser. All of your PC profile information is kept private on your PC and is not sent to any web server.

avast! Antivirus Software
Free for personal use antivirus software. A complete antivirus program which is able to find computer viruses, to create and to check the integrity of the programs installed, to test the executed programs and opened documents, to test the email and other functions. Scanning is also available in the shell extension and screen server.

ExploreXP
Fast, small, compact Freeware file manager for Windows 2000/XP. I really like the tab feature that allows you to browse multiple folders and work between them in tabs (much like the mozilla and firefox web browser tab feature).

ChkRootKit
A shell script that checks system binaries for rootkit modification.

A free Telnet and SSH client for Windows and Unix platforms that includes an xterm terminal emultator.
